Instructions
️⃣ Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan or use a silicone donut mold.
️⃣ Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
️⃣ Combine the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the almond milk, applesauce, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
️⃣ Make the Batter: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined (don’t overmix!). The batter should be thick and smooth.
️⃣ Fill the Donut Pan: Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut molds, filling each about ¾ full.
️⃣ Bake to Perfection: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
️⃣ Make the Chocolate Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, almond milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
️⃣ Dip & Decorate: Dip each cooled donut into the chocolate glaze, letting the excess drip off. Add sprinkles, nuts, or coconut for an extra touch!
️⃣ Let Set & Enjoy: Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before devouring these chocolatey delights!
